How the Australian Government Supporting Carers?

More than 2.62 million Australians care for their family members and friends having a disability, mental illness, chronic disease or someone who is frail due to old age. Around 860,000 people are primary carers who provide informal support to a family member or friend. They also need financial and emotional support from the local community and government. To support them, the Australian Government announced funding of additional $85.6 million more than four years. Many non profit organisations are also supporting carers in Sydney by encouraging volunteers.
